Classes are offered in both English and Spanish, with the Spanish class incorporating ESL instruction. The PCA training comprises 40 hours of basic personal care training in both classroom and lab settings, offered in English over approximately 8 days.
Selfhelp provides incentives like stipends for training, free metro cards for attending classes, and bonuses for aides accepting their first case. They also offer a sign-on bonus for referrals. Training locations are available in New York City, Brooklyn, and Long Island.
